A polki-style necklace set under ₹5,000, and what it is not

A real polki piece uses sliced, uncut diamonds in a gold setting. Luxury fashion brands sell a polki-style or moissanite-polki look from roughly ₹17,000 to well above ₹90,000 for a necklace, earrings and maang tikka, aimed at a bride. That is a different purchase from a wedding-guest set.

Cunei does not sell uncut polki diamonds or moissanite. The sets below are kundan-style fashion jewellery: plated metal, glass or fibre stones, pearls or crystals, at ₹2,350–₹3,700. They photograph as a full set. They are not a bridal vault piece, and they should not be described as one.

When the under-₹5,000 set is the right buy

You are a guest, a sister of the bride, or you need a Diwali or sangeet set that matches one outfit. You want the necklace, the earrings and the maang tikka to arrive together. You are not trying to pass fashion jewellery off as diamond polki. If that is the brief, use the selling price on the page and ignore any compare-at figure that is more than double.

Questions

Is this uncut polki?

No. These are kundan-style fashion sets. Uncut diamond polki is a different material and a different price.

Why are some polki sets ₹30,000 or ₹90,000?

Those listings are luxury fashion or fine-jewellery claims — moissanite, polki, heavier handwork — sold to brides. A guest does not need that budget to look dressed.

What does under ₹5,000 actually get?

A plated necklace with matching earrings and, on these sets, a maang tikka. Artificial stones. A set you can wear to one function without treating it as an heirloom.
